Spike Camp
Spike Camp: A smaller, more primitive camp located off the beaten path. The goal is to be closer to wildlife by keeping a low profile, often times our camps use gas for cooking food (no fire/smoke), heating water water for freeze dried meals, sleeping in backpacking tents. Come back to camp with a tarped area to keep dry, wake up, eat, get hunting before dark and be where you want to be at the most opportune time.
***Not available during most late seasons and is dependent on snow fall.
Pack Out Your Own Game with the right gear
Our base camps are equipped with all the equipment needed to pack out your game and process it or prepare it for the butcher. Game packs, game bags, cutting boards, water, knives, bins, zip locks and vacuum sealer. Use what you need when you need it, it’s provided.
Convenience
I am no stranger to what it takes to prepare for a camping or hunting trip, let alone a trip in the high elevation backcountry of Colorado. One of our main goals is to take that hassle away so you can focus on hunting Bring your personal gear (clothes, weapon, sleeping bag and food) and we can provide the rest. Food packages are also available. Show up to a ready to use camp with cots, heat, electricity, latrine, have a mapping session with your host, receive real time activity reports so you can focus on areas that have the highest likely hood of seeing game. As you know, there is never a guarantee when it comes to success hunting but we want to provide opportunities that give you the best chance of achieving an amazing experience.

COOA Small Game & Fishing Package, 4 nights, 3 full days
Looking to enjoy the outdoors but are not quite ready for a big game hunt? This is a perfect package for individuals, groups and families looking to experience catching, cleaning and making your own meals through small game hunting and fishing.

Hunt at your leisure, enjoy some hiking, wildlife viewing while giving yourself the opportunity to small game animals. 1st time to the Colorado Rockies? This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get acclimated, enjoy the outdoors but don’t want to dive into a big game hunt.

This trip is a great combination with fishing. Its a great few days hiking, hunting and doing some fishing all right out the backdoor of the base camp.
Learn some new techniques with camp cooking
Clean your small game or fish right at camp and enjoy a day in the woods with a campfire meal. Everything you need is right at the base camp.
Single/Multi Day
Looking to come up for a few nights and try some new hunting area? This is the option for hunters who may be trying different areas during any given season. Show up to a heated tent, a cot and join a group of other hunters doing the same.
Cost: $400 per hunter per night
(Each night comes with 1 full day of hunting/base camp/spike camp amenities)
