Hunting

Come on Out Adventures provides public land base camps for Elk, Deer, Antelope, Moose, Bear and Small Game hunting.  Bring your weapon, license and personal gear, we provide the rest.

Colorado Base Camps

Our Base and Spike Camps are fully equipped with everything you will need to enjoy a few days or weeks in the high country. We focus on the needs of hunters, you focus on your hunt.

Our Colorado Base camps are located on public National Forest Lands. They come fully equipped with all the necessities for groups to arrive and get hunting. During some seasons/camps, we also provide a spike camp for hunters to spend nights even deeper in the woods in a less primitive style camping situation.  This allows a wide range of hunting opportunities for groups or individual hunters.

Optimal Comfort

Our base camps are equipped with stoves, heat (wood and/or gas), cots for sleeping, cooking gear, a latrine, game retrieval gear, game processing equipment, and everything else you need to make your hunt convenient and comfortable.

Matt

I have been bow hunting elk in Colorado for the past five years.   Last year I shot my first Bull Elk at about 35 yards scoring a nice 5×5.  While harvesting my first elk has been the ultimate highlight of my trips thus far, honestly I am perfectly happy just to be in the mountains during this time of year.  To me there is nothing better than the cold mountain air in the morning lifting into a warm sunlit afternoon and seeing moose, deer, grouse, and other the other animals of the woods while covering the beautiful terrain.   Additionally over the years, Brian’s outfit has expanded significantly which has made these trips logistically much easier for me as I travel from a great distance to come out.  Being able to pull up from a long drive and walk straight into a proper camp with a fire lit, beer ready, and some elk loin on the stove is truly a luxury.  Furthermore having the preset spike camps has allowed me to spend more time focusing on hunting and spending time deep in the woods near the animals.  For some people this level of primitive may not be appealing but for me the ability to make the choice between camps is awesome.

I’ve been hunting since I was 12 years old and I still learn new things every time I go into the woods.  I’ve had the privilege of hunting in Colorado since 2002 and am still in awe of the beauty and amount of public land available in Colorado.   Beyond harvesting game, my goal is to provide every hunter or group with an amazing opportunity in the Colorado Rockies.  There are very few places that offer what Colorado has and I don’t take that for granted.  Every group that comes to my camp or I guide is another special opportunity for me and I truly am more rewarded by providing these opportunities to others than I am taking advantage of them alone.  I invite you to join me on a Colorado Hunting Adventure soon!
