Base Camp & Spike Camp Amenities for Campers/Hikers

We offer a fully equipped “Base Camp” as well as “Spike Camps” which are located 2-4 miles from the Base Camp. Depending on your camping style or needs, you can stay at either camp or make a combination trip where you spend time at each!

BASE CAMP

Base Camp is our most equipped camping set up with a lot of amenities.  Base camp is a place to store your gear, eat, sleep, cook, hang out or just relax.  Below is a list of guaranteed amenities.  We set up and take down all camp equipment.  YOU walk into a wall tent, pick a cot, throw down your bag and you’re good to go!

Lodging-Basic Lodging Provisions

  • Wall tent-10×14,14×16 or16x20 depending on group size.  (Groups of 2-6 per wall tent, more than 6 guests, we can provide additional tents).  Tents are equipped with cots, tables, camping chairs and ground tarp.
  • Heat-All tents are equipped with a wood burning stove and/or a gas heat source as back up.  (it’s not uncommon to have fire bans, if it’s cold enough, you will have gas heat in your tent if needed).
  • Power/Lighting-All tents are equipped with propane lanterns, the cook tent has gas and electric.
  • Sleeping– Each camper is provided a cot for your tent.  Please bring a personal sleeping bag or request one with your booking.
  • Latrine – Every Base Camp has a 1 seater Latrine Tent.  (big hole in the ground with box toilet seat and a tent around you)
  • Fuel: Gas is provided for the generator, propane is provided for the heater, grill, stove and lanterns.  (propane heaters are not intended to be on all night, recommended use is in the evening, before going to bed and when you wake up.)  We ask all groups to conserve fuel as getting refills is not always guaranteed.
  • Shower Tent-We are happy to provide a full blown JOOLCA hot water heater/shower and tent (with changing room).  This thing is AWESOME!   We provide non drinkable/stream water for the shower but please conserve because it’s a pain in the ass to get it up there and refill it.
  • Drinking Water: Tap/well water is provided via jugs to each camp.  We don’t provide bottled water so if you want that, bring your own.
  • Archery Targets:  bring your bow if you want to practice or add on our Archery 101 course
